.: Plot Info :.
The plot will start once we have enough members, but here's a basic overview:

Light and darkness...two forces that have existed in perfect harmony: until now. After seasons of peace, the clans are about to face a danger that they have never before seen. When one cat's quest for revenge brings an entire army to the lake, disaster is inevitable. The only hope for the clans is another group of cats, one no one has ever seen or heard of. But in times of treachery and hostility, how will the clans know who to trust? And more importantly, can they unite to light the darkness?

.: Weather :.
For the clans, it is the season of greenleaf. The weather is hot and prey is abundant. However, heat waves are sweeping through the area, and there are signs of drought...

For the Tribe Cats, it is the time of running water. It is warmer, or at least not as cold as usual. Rivers are flowing and prey is fairly abundant.

Topic Summary
Posted by +~*Snowy*~+ on Aug 1, 2009, 10:47pm
A brown and white tabby she-cat padded calmly into the camp. In her mouth was a rabbit, two mice, a squirrel, and two voles. This was Wingear's thrid hunting trip in a row today, and though the other two before this one were a bit abysmal, this trip turned out to be fruitful enough to cover her earlier failures. The she-cat still hadn't eaten at all though, and her stomach hurt badly, practically roaring at her in protest, but she ignored it. The clan had to be fed first, and with this last hunting trip, perhaps she would finally eat.

Dropping her catches on the fresh-kill pile, Wingear sat down and simply stared at the mound of food. Though she knew she should probably eat, she hesitated. Should she really? Perhaps the she-cat would go out again, just one more time before she finally succumbed to the unavoidable delay of eating. Wingear's stomach whined long and loud in piteous protest. But mind over body, she always said, and so the brown and white tabby turned to leave again... Only her body didn't want to leave. So she sat there for a little while longer, debating the question of whether to eat or not to eat.

A slender calico padded towards the fresh-kill pile, yawning. "Hello Wingear," Willowstar meowed the the tabby sitting there, staring at the prey. As the Thunderclan leader picked up a mouse, she blinked. Wait. Why was Wingear just sitting there? As the she-cat thought of the reason, she smiled slightly.

Laying down and taking bites out of her mouse, Willowstar looked up at Wingear. "You can eat, you know," she meowed causually. "You've done more then your share of hunting for today. Some other warriors should learn from you."

Wingear's ears immediately flattened even more when Willowstar approached. She hoped she wasn't being disrespectful, but she just couldn't help but try to protect her ears. "Hello, Willowstar." The tabby meowed, dipping her head in respect. Though Willowstar was a few moons younger, the calico she-cat still earned Wingear's deepest respects for her wisdom and kindness. Still, she had to protest, even a little. "Oh I wouldn't quite say that, ma'am." The she-cat meowed, smiling kindly. "All of them are great warriors in their own right; it just takes a certain kind of crazy to get where I am."

Wingear laughed softly and with her leader's blessings, bent down to take a black bird. Then, with her jaws hovering over the prey, she hesitated and pulled back. "Although perhaps I should go out hunting again, just for a little while." Her stomach growled fiercely. "Oh hush, you!"

Willowstar couldn't help but give a small mrrow of amusement. "Go ahead and eat Wingear," the calico urged. "You've earned a piece of fresh-prey. Besides, it's pretty apparent you're hungry," the she-cat continued, not turning to logic, her voice seeming almost slightly scolding. It was like a mother talking to a kit, trying to convince them to do something, despite the fact Willowstar was considerably younger. "It'll be hard for you to hunt with an empty stomach, hm? Please, do eat Wingear."

Wingear opened her mouth to protest more but the sound died in her throat. Then, dipping her head, she meowed, "I suppose you're right, Willowstar. Thanks." The she-cat bent down and picked up the black bird, sitting down to eat it beside her leader. "I guess I needed that." Wingear meowed, obviously enjoying her food. "Sometimes I just work myself into such a frenzy I forget to take care of myself."

Willowstar smiled as she watched Wingear finally eat. As the calico finished her mouse, she sat up and began to groom. "Just remember that you deserve to eat just as much as anyone else," the she-cat meowed with slight amusement. "And you really do need to eat if you get hungry Wingear," Willowstar continued, her tone now more serious. "It's not healthy to deprive yourself of food like that."

Wingear gulped down a bite of black bird with more noticable difficulty and she stared at the ground. As she repressed a shudder, her eyes were unfocused, as if looking past the dirt and soil and seeing something further beyond, or behind. "I've been through worse..." She meowed quitely, almost to soft to hear. Then her eyes brightened and she smiled guiltily, all trace of that momentary trance gone. "And I do suppose you're right. I just don't want anyone going hungry." She laughed softly. "Imagine. If we were as well-fed as Riverclan we'd have no problems lasting through leafbare." She laughed a bit louder. "Then again, if we were as well-fed as Riverclan we'd be too fat to catch any prey that didn't come right into our paws." She laughed again at her own little joke.

Willowstar chuckled despite herself. "Yes, I suppose that would be true," the calico agreed. "But at least now, it's Greenleaf, and there's enough prey to go around." The she-cat frowned. "Although it does seem to be getting drier..."
